COMPETITION RULES
Objective:
The arts are an integral part of a healthy culture, and community-based arts provide significant value both to communities and artists. To that end Penta Paints and the Habet Family of Companies are seeking to inspire young Belizeans to collectively create through their school an art design that will be considered for an art exhibiton, an art calendar and a public art mural project, as well as a complete paint makeover.
How should designs be submitted?
Using a thick white Bristol board type paper Size 28 x 20 inches.
Any medium can be used to draw your art design:
- water paint
- acrylic paint
- color pencils
- ink
- pencil
- or a combination of media

Criteria:
Acceptance for the exhibition will be based on a variety of criteria, including:
- creativity
- content
- technique and composition
- subject
- impact on community
- and compatibility with site (grounds and facilities).
Your design:
- Must be uplifting
- evoke hope
- relate to your country and society
- have a vibrant spirit and can be of any style:
- Abstract
- semi-abstract
- mosaic
- realistic
- symbolic
Topics/themes:
- Mother Nature’s Best Kept Secret - the lush environment (land or sea) that is BELIZE
- The many faces of Belize – portray the diverse people of BELIZE
- Andy Palacio – the man who brought BELIZE to the world music stage
- Historic places in BELIZE – remnants of the past alive in the present
- The Sporting life in BELIZE – capture the spirit of competition
